We leave Moshi/Arusha after filling our tummies with full breakfast and take the Serengeti road for an exciting and interesting drive through the monduli town to monduli juu a combination of small villages nestled at the northern part of the town. These villages are filled with the maasai culture and the peculiar maasai people are more than willing to share their preserved traditions with visitors, here you will get to learn more about their culture, their local medicines and how they collect, prepare and use them enter into their traditional bomas (manyata), participate in their dance called adumu and get more in-depth knowledge on how they survive their daily lives as nomads. In the noon time we will set up our temporary home at the campsite of osero and get some rest as we prepare for the next day ascent to Monduli Mountain
We will have an early day starting with a tasty breakfast in the beautiful land surroundings and there after decide on a full day or half day hike to Monduli Mountain. The shorter hike is a splendid walk of 3 hours covering 9 km which follows up the same path of the longer hike but excluding the hustle to get to the peak, the full day hike is an eight hours strenuous hike that consists of 18 km that leads to the eastern peak of Monduli Mountains. The long hike is beautiful but a bit more challenging passing through thorn scrub and cattle country. The shorter hike is more appropriate for photographers and artists however whether long or short a hike to Monduli Mountain will open your eyes to the beautiful nature. Dinner will be offered at the naramatu campsite, we suggest an early rest as there will be more trekking on the next day.
Wake up to the morning birds melodies and prepare for a real 17km adventurous walkafter a tasty breakfast today’s journey will start from the campsite passing along the great rift valley here you will be fascinated with amazing sights of Tanzania’s nature you will get a perfect view of the roof of Africa and mount meru this walk will be a great session of learning about the geography of the Tanzania. We will retire at Jackson campsite for a night’s rest and dinner.
On our last day, we will have an early rise get our breakfast and taking in the full experience of the wild plains. On our way back there will still be a chance of taking some cool pictures. Our tour will end in arusha/Moshi.
