The Southern Serengeti and Ndutu areas in Tanzania are the best positionings for January, February, and March to witness thousands of wildebeest spread across the plains grazing on the rich short grass plains. Predator action is at its peak with great sightings of cheetah, lion, hyena, and leopard and a very good chance to view spectacular adrenalin-packed kills.
After breakfast, tourist(s) will be picked up from the Hotel in Arusha and then transferred to Arusha airport for a short time flight (50mins) or take the car (4x4 jeep open roof) to Serengeti North Ndutu Area. Upon arrival, tourist(s) will meet a car driver-guide for a full-day game drive in Ndutu to view the magnificent migration. In the evening, we’ll drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. On day two, tourist(s) will have an early morning game drive at Ndutu Area and in the afternoon, back to the camp for Lunch.
