Momella lakes are a combination of multiple lakes situated in arusha national park, these lakes are mostly fed by underground water channels, the underground channels feeding the lake are rich in minerals allowing different types of bird life to habituate the lake like little grebes, herons, flamingoes, and many more.
Canoeing in the momella lakes is done in the one of the small momella lake which offers stunning views of the forest back drop. Canoeing here is exhilarating and adventurous. Hippos can be spottednearby, and other wildlife like buffaloes, waterbuck and bush buck can be spotted too.
The place also harbors the peculiar tall giraffes. After the canoeing experience, a tasty picnic lunch will be offered with a late afternoon game drive en route before heading back to arusha.
